Based on the problem statements and the needs of clients, our team settle different goals from customer and stakeholder to design a user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing website so that the WCBN can
• Attract more student listeners.
• Gain more donors.
We conducted 7 interviews with stakeholders who are using the existing radio website and used a competitive analysis to help us to understand user behavior and cleaner information architecture.
Here is what we've learned:
The website had irrelevant and unnecessary on the site that distracts users and the schedule is hard for users to read.
It is hard for users to find online streaming for the music because of the size and position, and it opens a new page for online streaming as well.
Users display an interest in interviews and special events hosted by the radio station & prefer to have contact information for WCBN hosts.
This is my first UX project and working with a real client. This project helps me to understand the completed UX process such as how to conduct user interviews, understand information architecture, and sitemap. It helps me to understand the communication with a group of designers.
Thanks for reading so far.
